Christine and Cameron have between them thirty years experience
of running a Bed and Breakfast in the Fort Augustus area and are
prominent members in the local community.
Both were teachers at the local private boarding school at the
Abbey, Christine teaching Mathematics and Computing
and Cameron teaching History, Modern Studies
and Games. The Abbey was eventually shut to be totally
modernised and refurbished to run now as the Highland Club.
Christine and Cameron have lived in Oaklands since 1992 and opened their
Bed and Breakfast in 1998. They have, until recently,
run the Imray tourist and craft shop in Fort Augustus, which they now have converted
to a successful Internet web site selling
Highland Craft and Tartan Needlepoint.
During your stay at Oaklands, why not chat to Christine and Cameron about
their time as teachers and the Benedictine Monastery or
Indeed ask Christine about Needlepoint
(and the odd “ASHES” game.......)
